Leather elbows on a tweed coat
-Oh!-
Is THAT the best you can do ?

You didn't share your triumph, Pash, that evidently (?) made you start this thread? What a great idea.

Not my personal triumphs, but my husband completed his 4th marathon over the weekend. And today, my son's baseball team miraculously gets another chance to continue in the championship series. They're total underdogs as today's post-season win is only their 2nd win all season. Yeay! Er, yes, Little League.

I didn't start it for any reason in particular- just because there needed to be a space for the beautiful events of everyones quotidian lives.

I kicked arse in the English langauge exam.

But tommorow I shall fail biology miserably, so they sort of cancel each other out.
Names, secret names. But never in my favour.

That would be the highlight of anyone's day!

If I can put aside my jealously for just a second, may I just congratulate you on this unimitable fortuity.

4th marathon? holy cow! that's truly admirable. i used to be a runner, quite good at cross country stuff, but alas, i'm now lazy.

and SI, little league rocks!! i try to catch the finals on the tele every chance i get. i sorely wish i would see the pro defenders give a 'high-5' to the batter when he kisses it out of the park, like i've seen in LL. strange how true sportsmanship is alive in youth but not moreso in adults, eh?

a peculiar confluence consumed me today at lunch. all i wanted to do was eat a great sandwich and read some poetry, but the incredibly sultry voice on the intercom took me somewhere else. the result was the start of a "brilliant" poem (in the words of a published poet who read it today.....which, hearing that from her, was a great thing in and of itself).

i love being inspired!!
