A note upon his desk
"P.S. Bring Me Home And Have Me!"
Leather elbows on a tweed coat
-Oh!-
Is THAT the best you can do ?
So came his reply :
"But on the desk is where I want you!"

in a way, it is a thread to post interesting diversions you find on the web. if you find a website you think may interest our village members, let us know. sometimes we like it, othertimes...well...othertimes we don't.

at least that's the way i see this thread. perhaps one of our fab mods can correct me :unsure:

this guy has done some serious research on playing cards from around the world, very interesting stuff.
I collect playing cards from Japan made by nintendo. Some of them go back to the 1800s

Did anyone see the "O'Rly Lolcode" one on there?

Image
I was doing some poking around today, and I found that a group of people are developing an actual <a href="http://lolcode.com" target="_blank">LOLCODE programming language!</a>

Here's a simple program that prints out the numbers from 1 to 10:
<!--quoteo--><div class='quotetop'>QUOTE</div><div class='quotemain'><!--quotec-->
HAI
CAN HAS STDIO?
I HAS A VAR
IM IN YR LOOP
UPZ VAR!!1
VISIBLE VAR
IZ VAR BIGR THAN 10? GTFO. KTHX
KTHX
KTHXBYE
<!--QuoteEnd--></div><!--QuoteEEnd-->
The awesome part is I can actually code some programs in LOLCODE if i wanted to! There's already interpreters out there that plug into Java, Python, .NET, and Perl! Awsum!!!!! :lol: :lol: :lol: :lol: :lol:
