One of my favorite songs, and it's fairly short. The title doesn't always have to have a bad connotation to it, either. I hope! Also, it never occurred to me that most of you don't know my real name-- Esther. <!--emo&:)-->Image<!--endemo-->

Hmm, very interesting thread indeed, I've been curious about these things. <!--emo&:P-->Image<!--endemo-->
Mine was partially inspired by a poem by John Keats, as I might have mentioned before:
Ode on Melancholy/<a href='http://www.bartleby.com/101/628.html' target='_blank'>link</a>
I love the athmosphere and the imagery of these verses, the mythological refferences and all that. The line
By nightshade, ruby grape of Proserpine;
got stuck in my head - i really adore the sounding of it and liked the word 'ruby'; besides it is associated it with a color I like a lot.
So when I was wondering with what name to register, it occured to me I can use this, and added -girl, so it would probably suggest it's not a name, but a nickname.

I chose Mozzerella 'cause I wanted a nickname relating to Morrissey. Obviously Mozzer=Morrissey and ella to give it a girlish tinge. I preferred Mozzerella to Mozzarella although I like cheese and although someone *cough*Matt*cough* pointed out that it's pronounced similarly anyway. <!--emo&:lol:-->Image<!--endemo-->

Well, it seems grim didn't. Unless, he too was being sarcastic? woah. That certainly puts a new edge on things.

You are quite right Ruby I wasn't being sarcastic, I can't see the need for it tbh.

Alabaster <!--QuoteBegin--></div><table border='0' align='center' width='95%' cellpadding='3' cellspacing='1'><tr><td>QUOTE </td></tr><tr><td id='QUOTE'><!--QuoteEBegin--> "Im a bit thick, i'll be the first to admit that."

I wasn't sure how true that statement was so I was just taking you on your own words & tried to be helpful.

I am so very bad at making up message board nicknames, usually I cannot think of anything, so these two bulgarian forums I was asked to participate in gave me some really hard time...in the end I had to go by my real name due to lack of ideas. Which is not how I want it to be. <!--emo&:ph34r:-->Image<!--endemo--> And a nick like 'rubygirl' in a bulgarian forum would sound very strange and would be equivalent of 'I wanna make myself look interesting' - which is not the case with me.
I just saw on the astrology forum I visit this username PocketDragon and thought, 'how do people come up with such original and at the same time funny things,and I never do?
And one of best friends told me how she came up with a very cool username and she explained about it to another friend of hers - who then took it and started using it! <!--emo&:blink:-->Image<!--endemo-->

On here it's pretty easy; if you've no idea for a username, the accepted practise is just to use a Smiths reference.

Sometimes I use barafundle, just cause it's a nice place and a nice sounding word.
