i don't speak any japanese so i wouldn't know, but i have noticed it in films and TV shows with other languages i speak. it also annoys me when some american actors play british parts and can't do decent british accents - why don't they just get british actors instead?

Oh I agree 110%, I also hate it when they use Chinese actors to play Japanese parts. It's just wrong.

Thought I'd give this a wee update.

Flight Of The Conchords
The Wire (Charlie Brooker never shuts up about it, cheers Charlie)

I've also started watching the first season of the Sopranos. Its pretty good 'n all but it doesn't come close to the wire. Best TV show of all time.

Is anyone into the Louis Theroux shows at all? I just downloaded quite a few of them recently and can't get enough of them. The guy is a legend.

Aye, Louis Theroux is amazing! Did ye see the Jimmy Saville one? He's a full on weirdo. He tells Louis that he washes his ma's clothes every week and Louis asks why if they don't get worn. He obviously prances about the house in his dead mothers clothes. I think he loved her a little too much.

Yes, I think I've seen them all by now and I did indeed see the Jimmy Saville episode.

I love the expression on Louis' face when he is asking a really obvious question but the subject can't quite work out if he's serious or not.

His best shows are where he is spending time with the non-celebs. He has got himself into potentially sticky situations sometimes e.g. he did a show with White Supremacists and they were quizzing him as to whether he was Jewish.

He's always thoroughly entertaining though.

I got a bit into The Wire through Charlie Brooker, but haven't found time to watch much of it. I have watched everything of Charlie Brooker on YouTube though. I would rather watch him watching TV than actually watch it myself.

I don't understand how you were able to stop watching it, I was absolutely hooked from the first episode. It doesn't treat it's viewers like retarded monkeys (unlike most t.v). It changes they you think, so in that sense it can be considered a work of art.

NCIS (mostly seasons 3-5, 6 was a bit exaggerated and I haven't seen 7 yet)
Numb3rs (Charlie Eppes rules!)
Monk
The Mentalist
The Simpsons
SpongeBob Squarepants (I am still 5 years old at heart)
occasionally Curb Your Enthusiasm and seldom The Office (US version)

oh, and I used to watch Boston Legal, too bad it went off the air so early :(

Did I forget to mention I am allergic to reality TV?
