Eurovision

Anything you wanna say, say it!

I don't know how popular it is anymore so maybe not many people are watching but actually it's not too bad this year. and there are some great entries!

latvia with an a'capella band (obviously i'd love it)
finland who look like orcs doing some hardcore rocking
lithuania (i think) with their song 'we are the winners' my GOSH that's amazing! as terry wogan said, more like a football anthem than anything else... with the whole song comprised of the line "we are going to win the eurovision, we are the winners!"

ours entry was pretty dire. a really terrible white rapper surrounded by britney spear schoolgirl lookalikes.

right.

I saw the first bit of it at work but now I'm home it's some horror film on $ky tv & I can't say turn over.
I thought that Latvia group was like a merdy, nerdy I meant (I'm typing in the dark) take that (except they could actually sing), so I want them to win, liked the floating heart thingy at the end.
So keep us informed Queenie, shit I've never ever been interested in the eurovision song contest before!

love

Grim

Finland have won it. The monster-people. I think if you put that much effort in, you deserve to win.

Every country managed to get at least one point - even Daz bloody Twatface. I've forgotten his name already.

It was funny something other than a woman prancing around in a belt won.

The monster costumes were a bit much but hey it worked.

I've been telling people about the greatness of Lordi for years (no I'm not a metalhead, in fact I can't stand most metal), but they have great videos for songs like "Could You Ever Love A Monster Man?" and "Blood-Red Sandman"...check them out.

The song they sung yesterday was shit though.
Make no mistake my friend, your pointless life will end.

im glad lordi won, most eurovision entries seem to be either abba clones or cheesey europop summer dance hits, good to see something interesting and different win for once.
you know our (britain's) entry is in his 30s?

edit:
hey, this is my 777th post! altho perhaps the number 666 would have been more appropriate for this thread...

I might be with mine.

I think Lithuania's was fantastic, some great lyrics. I was so taken by those words. :P

The last decent Eurovision contest was in 2005. The rest of 'em were really bad!
I wanna go home... I don't want to stay... give up life as a BAD MISTAKE...

Life is good; and I feel great. 'Cause mother says I was a great mistake.
