Hans Moleman

I love the Simpsons, I can even remember the very first time I watched an episode, and how great it was. Clearly the best comedy-cartoon out there. As much as I've been dissapointed by the last few seasons (it seems their ideas are understandably drying out) the first 10 seasons worth were just special.

whilst I think the Simpsons is brilliant, I prefer South Park, I know that if it hadn't been for the groundbreaking Simpsons, South Park would probably never of existed so a big yeehaa to the Simpsons.

love

Anyone else seen the movie? What are your thoughts on it?

I found the storyline a bit too unrealistic even for Simpsons standards. On the other hand the sketches were very good so I guess the storyline is just a necessarity to bridge between the different sketches. The dialogues were excellent and so were the sketches. Not the brilliant humor or the seasons 3-5 but still a good movie and better than the last TV season. Just a pity that the focus was so much on the family themselves while characters such as Mr Burns, Barney, Moe, etc were hardly used. Apart from the Simpson family, only Flanders gets to say more than 5 sentences.

I've only seen the bit where you see Bart's penis, my mate won't shut up about it. Bit weird like.
You're gonna kill me, is that your plan?

I went with a group of about 18 (we filled a whole centre row!) and I was the only one that enjoyed it... I am also the only one that doesn't regularly watch the Simpsons and had zero expectations. Apparently that was the magic combo!

Well I had the feeling that the movie format would not be good for the Simpsons... I like them, but the movie just seemed to be a long and bad episode.
