Hi, I'm a 22 year old who covers songs for fun using the best of his home-recording abilities. I'm a big fan of The Smiths, and I've tried to reproduce the greatness of "Shoplifters of the World Unite" while adding my own touch. Check it out. Comments are greatly appreciated.

All my songs hold no commercial value and are streamable here:

Welcome to the forum.

Your voice is pretty fantastic - really unique, I would say. Have you thought about focussing on the guitar and drum sounds a bit more? I mean obviously it's only a home recording, but that doesn't mean it can't sound like whatever you want it to sound like.

Thanks for the nice comments elko.

Tonight I recorded a cover of "Everyday is Like Sunday." My recording owes more than a little to Colin Meloy of the Decemberists' version, but I added more instruments to make a fuller sound. It's at the same site I mentioned above. Since my version of "Shoplifters of the World Unite" was recorded several months ago, the production value of this song should sound better.

Thanks again.
