I have been going back and forth on buying it for a long time now-- is it worth it?
A note upon his desk
"P.S. Bring Me Home And Have Me!"

I'd say yes! I enjoyed loads of information I didn't know at all - you will learn early on which bits are the authors madness and which are the real facts! Keeping that in mind, and plently pinches of salt available - you will enjoy this book!

:D
