The All-New File Sharing Thread

All about The Smiths' music, gigs, stories, anything.

I'd love to have access to the GMail archive, if only for the studio version of "The Draize Train" that I've been looking for since forever ago, but I think I'm too new to be trusted with the pword. I'd like to contribute whatever I can to the archive, Smiths, Moz, or otherwise, if only to prove my good faith. Can we just have the address (sans pword), so that we can send interesting tracks there for others to enjoy, maybe even with a little commentary in the message itself?

Would anyone happen to know if there are any live preformances of Paint a Vulgar Picture anywere?

To find one would bring nothing but delight in my ears.

I don't think it was ever done live by The Smiths, along with the rest of Strangeways. But I do know where you can find it done by Morrissey. :)

Heres the only version I have, but it was done other times during 1997, there is a Morrissey - 'Paint A Vulgar Picture' bootleg out there, which leads me to think that's the best version.

But mine is from Lisebergshallen, Gothenburg, Sweden 1997

Enjoy

I have Morrissey versions of other strangeways tracks-

A Rush And A Push And The Land Is Ours
Girlfriend In A Coma
Stop Me If You Think You've Heard This One Before
Last Night I Dreamt That Somebody Loved Me
Death At One's Elbow

...if you would like me to stick them in the gmail account?

Sorry if they're dupes, but I sent in the the New York Dolls original "Trash" that Morrissey covers in the "Live In Dallas" video. Also sent in Billy Bragg's cover of Jeane from "Reaching to the Converted".

Yes, dupes = duplicates. I don't actually have access to the Gmail account, but Pash told me to send in whatever I thought was cool, so I don't know whether the stuff I'm sending in is already there or not.

Sorry if this is an old one, but is the New York mix of This Charming Man on there? I've lost the version I had of it. :(
