'Vauxhall and I' versus 'Strangeways here we come'

For all things concerning Moz's solo career.

oh i've changed my mind again...i don't need Strangeways in my collection...it gives me goosebumps and i don't know why...Death Of A Disco Dancer and Paint A Vulgar Picture made me cringe every time...btw i only own Morrissey's Best Of which contains 21 songs since it's the only decent Morrissey CD available at the local store...i'm a casual fan...

Yes, oh God... Why waste time at a Morrissey/Smiths forum if you're only a "casual fan"? Too much spare time?

its a great album if not the masterpiece they think it is

9 or 9 1/2 for me.
I'm spellbound, but a woman divides
And the hills are alive with celibate cries

Vauxhall and I, i really love Hold on to your friends and Now my heart is full.

I like strangeways too, but lyrical it's the probably the worst album. except for;
Last night i dreamt somebody loved me

i'm planning to get my second Morrissey CD, My Early Burglary Years...that has 16 songs... :) (damn it, Sunny and Sister I'm A Poet are on The Best Of M)...i can't afford to buy all of his proper albums coz i don't have much disposable income, besides Morrissey's solo albums lack good music...you know...

not sure if you live in the US but if you do, tower records has 'viva hate' for $8 and 'you are the quarry' for $10
