Andy & Mike's 'personal' files

What have the rhythm section been up to since The Smiths?

Postby Noonan McKane » Sun Feb 06, 2005 1:18 am

Wow, thanks for that Noonan!! I've never really known a huge amount about Mike or Andy, just because they tend to get overshadowed by the other two and generally ignored by all the biogs <!--emo&:(-->Image<!--endemo--> So even "'what's your favourite colour?' type biogs" are better than nothing!

Awww, they're both so NICE!

I decree today that life is simply taking and not giving
England is mine, it owes me a living
But ask me why and I'll spit in your eye
Oh, ask me why and I'll spit in your eye
But we cannot cling to the old dreams anymore
No, we cannot cling to those dreams
Does the body rule the mind or does the mind rule the body?
I dunno...
Under the iron bridge we kissed
And although I ended up with sore lips
It just wasn't like the old days anymore
No, it wasn't like those days
Am I still ill...?

Nice one Noonan. Can we call you Macca? Or MacKa? Did it have profiles of the others in that book of yours? I'd love to see Johnny's, if you don't mind the extra typing.

Glad to be of assistance, folks!

You can call me anything you like, Elk. (Within the boundaries of good taste, natch!)

These profiles are from the programme of aforementioned 1985 Scottish tour, so yes, I can furnish you with the details submitted by 'the other two'! (Not tonight, however. It'll have to be tomorrow, as I'm not at home right now.)

Just been looking at that link to "Smiths Presumably Forever Ill" (Is the title intentionally wordy and awkward? Hope so.) and it transpires I don't hafta.

They're transcribed absolutely faithfully on there. (Right down to the mis-spellings. ("Robbi Coltraine". Both names! The big fella WILL be chuffed!))

BTW, I'm just being pernickity; about the title, I mean. It's a lovely little piece of work, that 'S.P.F.I'.

*Brackets within brackets! (Gotta love 'em. (Even if they're pointless.)(And they are.))
