Not sure if I ever posted this before but if I did it must be long time ago... But then I listen to this song again after a long while and it still gets me emotional. It may be classified as 'pop' by some, but I would disagree as it goes way beyond the meaninglessness of the average chart tune.

SNOW PATROL: <a href="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9Qen3Xovtfc" target="_blank">http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9Qen3Xovtfc</a> (and they're from near Belfast which is of course a nice extra)
Keep it flaming your desire, always rising higher - Aim for stars and hit the sky

Newer track from Minus the Bear-- they are so wonderful :)

<a href="http://youtube.com/watch?v=AU6cGLciUOo" target="_blank">Pachuca Sunrise</a>

What do you think?
A note upon his desk
"P.S. Bring Me Home And Have Me!"
Leather elbows on a tweed coat
-Oh!-
Is THAT the best you can do ?
So came his reply :
"But on the desk is where I want you!"

Does anyone remember "Like a puppet on a string"? Does anyone recognise the song in <a href="http://www.deadfm.co.uk/Dead_FM-Puppet_on_a_String.mp3" target="_blank">this version</a>? The band is called Dead FM, they're from Northern Ireland.

This man has put Austria on the music map of the world, and if I were Yandee I would wipe away a patriottic tear while listening to this song: <a href="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=spoVSCrQxfA" target="_blank">http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=spoVSCrQxfA</a>
This is the sort of song the word "evergreen" was created for.

:D

I like that. Very much in keeping with a lot of American indie at the moment, but doesn't mean it isn't good.

I've never seen the video for REM's <a href="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JMf7c06ZlaM" target="_blank">Bad Day</a> until now. I love the parody of so-called "fast-paced" news, which I believe is getting out of control. This nice <a href="http://www.theonion.com/content/news/media_landscape_redefined_by_24" target="_blank">sarcastic article</a> has it right in that respect, I believe.

3:03 = a growl in your voice that i think is just great! it's either a happy mistake or something you should do just a bit more often ;)
and closing with the whistle, nice touch.

My first true love released their new album last friday, so I thought it was time to present you something:

the new single (makes you think there is no sexier german word than Kapitulation)
<a href="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4rK4hPgPtiU" target="_blank">Tocotronic - Kapitulation</a>
should be with english subtitles, but I don't know for sure for youtube doesn't work on my pc

from their beautiful last record
<a href="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gvhnAWEsS5M&mode=related&search=" target="_blank">Tocotronic - Pure Vernunft Darf Niemlas Siegen</a>

and an all time favourite from 1994
<a href="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XifJsTm6XIs&mode=related&search=" target="_blank">Tocotronic - Wir Sind Hier Nicht In Seattle, Dirk</a>

Ok so they're from New York and it's mostly people with cool hair that listen to them but this song is dynamite
