Good stuff, not that I was expecting any less.

I was just reading through an old music mag and in an article on Vinny Peculiar (who is/was recently touring with Andy and Mike), it says he has a monthly night at the Star & Garter called the Kitchen Sink Disco, or something.
See, I can fit a Smiths reference into anything <!--emo&:D-->Image<!--endemo-->

I've been to The Kitchen Sink Disco a couple of times. It's not on any more, they had quite a poor turnout the couple of times I was there so that may be why. I know Andy Rourke was involved. Cookie, the guy who runs it is a great guy though. Last I heard was they were at another venue with a double bill of Eugene Kely (The Vaselines) and Malcolm Middleton (Arab Strap). Wish I went to that, I was busy.

That's a really good playlist! I haven't heard of all the bands/artists on it, but the ones I have heard, I love! What are Bloc Party like? I haven't actually heard any songs by them, but they're going on tour with two other bands I love (The Killers and Kaiser Chiefs), so I'm assuming they must be good!

I wish there was somewhere that played decent music like that near me... <!--emo&:(-->Image<!--endemo-->

I decree today that life is simply taking and not giving
England is mine, it owes me a living
But ask me why and I'll spit in your eye
Oh, ask me why and I'll spit in your eye
But we cannot cling to the old dreams anymore
No, we cannot cling to those dreams
Does the body rule the mind or does the mind rule the body?
I dunno...
Under the iron bridge we kissed
And although I ended up with sore lips
It just wasn't like the old days anymore
No, it wasn't like those days
Am I still ill...?

Bloc Party are very in theme with the current shouty-spiky-indie scene at the moment, if you like The Killers, you'd more-or-less like them I'd reckon.
