I'm a bit down at the moment. I can't find any good music to listen to. I love the smiths, joy division, radiohead, smashing pumpkins, led zep, the beatles, pink floyd, pulp, kate bush and beck but I have listened to these artists so much that I need a new (old) band to get into. Anyone know of cool band i've missed out on?

well if you dont alreadylike them then the velvet underground and the clash seem to be bands you would like from those bands listed.

Pavement? 'Crooked Rain, Crooked Rain' is an album I defy anyone to dislike.

Sonic Youth - Daydream Nation (I just picked this one up and love it)
Interpol - Turn On The Bright Lights (simply beautiful)
The Decemberists - Picaresque
Yo La Tengo - I Can Hear The Heart Beating As One
and I second the Pavement suggestion, theyre great good fun!
Hope this helps <!--emo&:)-->Image<!--endemo-->
Oh, but don't mention love
I'd hate the pain of the strain all over again
A rush and a push and the land that
We stand on is ours
It has been before
So why can't it be now?
And people who are weaker than you or I
They take what they want from life

Or you could even try something drastically different... I could send you some Marley if you want <!--emo&:)-->Image<!--endemo-->
A note upon his desk
"P.S. Bring Me Home And Have Me!"
Leather elbows on a tweed coat
-Oh!-
Is THAT the best you can do ?
So came his reply :
"But on the desk is where I want you!"

get hold of The Buzzcocks (singles) & The Ramones or if you want something a bit more relaxed try out Timi Yuro.

I agree, try any Tori Amos Album. She's not always fun, but the music and her voice are really unique.

If you like really smooth voices and want to feel clumsy, try The Church, Priest = Aura. The Church made like 20 albums and they're worth your time.

You gotta love the Beach boys.
