For those who mentioned Michael Jackson. I must say that he was at his best during the 80's. Not so much the 70's, except for Jackson 5...

Don't you think his whole reputation rests on just those two albums (Off The Wall and Thriller)? And that in reality he was actually pants after 1983?

To an extent, yes. But Bad had some great tunes (Dirty Diana, Smooth Criminal...)
