Music Films/DVDs

Well, I would of put this in the general chat but it is about music really ain't it? Well I've saw a few good music films/dvds.

The Rutles
It's about these people who are like The Beatles. It's funny and has great music too. I would recommend it.

Yellow Submarine
This film is very strange I have to say about the Beatles. It's a shame it's not their real voices. Matt got it as a Christmas present and told me to watch it. Few good songs which include 'Yellow Submarine' and 'Srgt Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band'. Very 'dreamy' indeed.

Any good film/dvds to recommend people?

A Hard Day's Night

Really cheered me up, a Beatle's film.

Yeah, music films are the best....

A Hard Day's Night is just amazing. The best film ever.

Yellow Submarine is probably the second best.

This Is Spinal Tap is parody to perfection, and the music's better than most metal as well!

I Am Trying To Break Your Heart, A Film About Wilco, is simply gorgeous.

Stop Making Sense, best live show ever?

My nomination is not a film about a band but it is about music....

Empire Records.

Sid & Nancy is a great film if you've never seen it before.

Yes!

I just bought 'Later...with Jools Holland presents: COOL BRITANNIA' (Blur, Oasis, Pulp, Morrissey, Suede, Radiohead, The Libertines, British Sea Power, Supergrass, etc)

I love 24-hr Party People.

I also have The Mayor of Sunset Strip. About a has-been L.A. radio DJ who befriended everyone in the music business (before he became famous and a DJ). He helped launch people's carreers by playing their music when no one else would listen. He even opened up a club supporting English music/bands for a brief time during the glam 70's. It's such a sad documentary though. His life doesn't amount to much in the end. He now has a small slot on the same station at some late, late hour.

I want to see the Metallica one, Monster something or other, I forgot the name!

I really need to see Spinal Tap in its entirety.
