Introduce Yourselves

Hi Everyone,

My name is Chris, male 39 years, I`m from Canada.

I`ve been a Smith`s fan since 88. I was introduced to them in my first year of College and I`ve been a big fan of them ever since!! The first album I listened to ( and in my opinion, still the best) The queen is Dead. I couldn`t get over their sound, Morrisseys voice and Johnny Marrs guitar. Needless to say, I have never heard a sound quite like theirs. Spiritual, haunting but beautiful all at the same time. Being young at the time, I could relate to Morrisseys lyrics. I found that a lot of their music related to young people. I felt alive listening to their music. 20 years later, I find Morrissey and The Smiths music is still as inspiring as ever, timeless and classic. I look forward to posting on this forum!!!

Thanks for the welcome!!

I`m just curious, is this a slow time of year for members posting? I was looking forward to some discussions on The Smiths/Morrissey but there doesn`t seem to be anyone posting.

Welcome Chris.
The forum just ebbs and flows. Some of us disappear for weeks at a time! Another reason is that the forum recently went under some new 'construction' thanks to Boxguy (Ryan), following some spamming on the board. The forum was hard to access at times. But yeah, a little quite lately.

If you haven't already, cruise over to the Hailing Frequency for some general chat. Enjoy your stay!

I'm 19, attend Queen Mary's University of London. I spend my days, reading novels and poetry under a tree in Hyde Park or on a park bench on Primrose Hill. I enjoy composing music on the guitar and piano. I'm vegetarian, and I enjoy shopping, taking care of my appearance and eating out at trendy restaurants and drinking at trendy bars. You could say, I am a typical Londoner.

Nymphetamine, welcome!

What does a typical Londoner such as yourself study at the uni?

Awesome! I am going through the credentialing program to become an english teacher right now, and I am planning on teaching abroad (to make better money to pay for said education) in a year-- thats excellent, good taste we have in common Nymphetamine :). Welcome! Where have you done some travelling?

Hello,

I have visited Germany, France, Italy, Spain, Hungary, Latvia, Estonia, and Norway. I travelled to New Hampshire as a small boy with my parents and have been to Delhi in India and Melbourne in Austrailia. I've had the fortune of being born to parents with an explorative nature and a medium sized bank balance.

Where have you been?

Nothing that exciting! I have been to parts of Canada, across the US, parts of Italy, England, and Germany, and quite a bit around Australia after having lived in Melbourne for a few months, a bit of New Zealand and Fiji and thats all. I have had the advantage of working a ton of jobs and being a student that is good enough to be paid to leave :-P. When are you getting your teaching certification?
