I'm zero tolerance with that shit: 'Tough on jazz. Tough on the causes of jazz.'
I still believe it should be a capital crime to play the drums with a pair of egg whisks, or even to be in POSSESSION of a trumpet with a pudding-bowl over the end of it, so that it goes "pwap pappa pwappa pwa".<!--QuoteEnd--></td></tr></table><div class='postcolor'><!--QuoteEEnd-->
What a vivid description, the egg whisk thing! I have to say I've never been a classic blues jazz fan, but I did go through a contemporary jazz phase. I love hearing acoustic guitars on what I consider contemporary jazz to be, more spiffy, or jazzy! Marc Antoine and Peter White are my two favorite artists. Should search them out, they're beautiful on the ears. I love the part in 'That Thing You Do' (One of my favorite movies), where the drummer, the good guy in the movie, gets to meet his hero. He's awestruck. Love that moment. Then he gets to jam with him in the studio. Great little movie.
